Cheat codes for Windows 3.0

Type P-O-R-N to hear a guy say "I can't get enough"

Type V-E-R-S to see what version you own

Type M-E-M-Y to see how much free memory you have

Type D-A-M-N, D-A-R-N, H-E-C-K, or H-E-L-L to turn all residential zones into churches (HINT: permenant)

Type C-A-S-S to get a small amount of money (HINT: use this cheat often and you will get a nasty suprise)

Type F-U-N-D twice for some money (HINT: a loan at 25% is no good at all [Takes out loan in some versions])

Type B-U-D-D-A-M-U-S while clicking on the top blue bar on the tool bar to get $500,000

Type N-O-A-H to start a flood.

Type M-O-S-E-S to stop a flood.

Type G-O-M-O-R-R-A-H to have a nuclear meltdown.

Type G-I-L-M-A-R-T-I-N to get a military base.

Type M-R-S-O-L-E-A-R-Y to start a fire.

Type O-I-V-A-I-Z-M-I-R to get the debug menu.

If any cheats do not work your version may have been corrected so as not to allow them. Also try the codes in lower case letters.

Cheat codes for DOS

This cheat will give you $500,000 and all technologies and rewards

Version 1.0

(HINT: You may want to pause the game before trying this cheat considering that you do not want to be interrupted until you complete the entire sequence.)

1. Press Ctrl-F3.

2. Click on the rotate counterclockwise icon.

3. Click on the resize box (HINT: lower right corner of city window).

4. Click on the status window.

5. Click on the population window.

6. Click anywhere inside the city window.

7. Pull down the disasters menu and select the horizontal line between riots and no disasters.

Version 1.1

Just type T-O-R-G.

Windows '95

Type O-I-G-E-V-A-L-D while clicking on the top blue bar on the tool bar to get the "debugger" menu on the option bar in the city window which allows you to have new disasters (like volcanoes and chemical spills), along with the ability to get $500,000 and all gifts and technologies (Arcologies in the 1900's ?????).

Type I-A-M-A-C-H-E-A-T to get $500,000, all technologies, and all rewards.

Macintosh

Type P-O-R-N-T-I-P-S-G-U-Z-Z-A-R-D-O to become $500,000 richer (is it legal though ????)

Type V-A-U-D-E-V-I-L-L-E to see dancing arcos.

100% Water

How to get 100% water with only one water pump! There is a bug in Sim City 2000 that allows you to fool the computer into thinking that you always have more than enough water for the residents of the city. This eliminates those annoying "water shortage" reports.

Here's how you do it:

1. Either start a new city, or bulldoze all water producing facillities (ex. water pumps, treatment plants, towers,...etc.)(HINT: pause the game when you start to buldoze)

2. Pick a flat 3x3 area on the edge of the landform. (HINT: make sure there are no objects anywhere in the 3x3 square)

3. Place a single water pump in the center of the grid.

4. Connect with power.

5. DO NOT CONNECT PUMP WITH PIPES!

6. Go back to building you city and in a while you will be able to go to the graph window and see that there is 100% water.

Magic Eraser

This bug allows you to "erase" structures and build over them. This fools the computer to think that there is two buildings on the same spot, when in fact only one is visible. This allows you to use the land for new structures while retaining the population and land values.

Here's how you do it:

1. Make a backup copy of your city in case you mess up.

2. Click on the water/ trees icon.

3. Select trees.

4. Hold down the "shift" key and the left mouse button.

5. Slowly drag the cursor over the tiles you want erased while holding down the "shift" key and the left mouse button. You should see your structures "disapper"

6. Use the "rotate view" icon to make sure you erase only the tiles you wanted to erase. (HINT: leave one tile "unerased"

7. If you relase the mouse button or "shift" key by mistake go back to step "2"

$2 billion

This allows you to increase your funds to over $2 billon on any city. To do this you need a Binary File Disk Editor such as Norton's Disk Editor or the Sim City 2000 hex editor.

Here's how to do it:

1. Open your city in the disk editor

2. Got to the string of 4 Hexidecimals that looks like this: 00 02 4E 20

3. Change the "00" to a "7F"

4. Save and exit.

5. Open city in Sim City 2000, and you should have $2,000,000,000 +

This file allows you to edit each Sim City 2000 city so that you have as much money as you want. $50,000..... $100,000..... or $1,000,000; however much you want, or need. Created by J. Moore.
